I learned about fine sterling silver from my mother and two special women in my life.  They used their pieces every day!  Even a simple lunch or afternoon snack became special because of the serving and individual pieces.

I don’t remember if I discovered Mr. Hollister’s words of wisdom in a dusty London bookshop or at the bottom of an old box somewhere.  It was appropriate to use his quotes in my series of Silver Mysteries.  But readers wanted more.

So I combined his knowledge and experience of proper use, care and storage with modern advancements in this little book, because I believe fine silver has a place in today’s world.

Mr. Hollister’s little book is filled with useful information about dozens of specific serving and place setting pieces, their care and a little history.
